Join a Class for Adults at Kula Yoga Center

Anusara Yoga is a popular, fun and rich style of hatha yoga grounded in the life affirming, heart opening Tantric Philosophy.  This philosophy embraces everything we are and experience as a beautiful expression of nature. Anusara Yoga uses an elegant system for alignment, called the Universal Principles of Alignment (UPAs).  These alignment principles create a clear and concise framework so beginning students can understand the poses and progress in the physical practice, and more advanced students can refine and deepen the more subtle aspects of their practice. 

This combination of the Tantric philosophy and the UPAs are woven throughout class to help you experience your innate goodness, heal, learn about yourself, and feel inspired and uplifted in your life.

This class introduces students to the basic alignment and form of the postures, breath awareness, and yogic philosophy. Clear instruction, a supportive environment, and individual assistance will be given to all students. This class is for those new to yoga, or students wanting a basic class.

Monday 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM with Julie Miller
This class provides the opportunity for students to learn and refine the alignment and form of the postures while moving with the breath.  Heart opening Tantric yoga philosophy will be woven into all classes.  Clear instruction, a supportive environment, and individual assistance will be given to all students.  All types of poses will be explored with variations provided to meet you where you are, and take you to the next level.

This class provides the opportunity for students to refine and strengthen their practice. Deeper investigation into all classes of poses will be offered, as students enjoy investigating, playing, and expanding into their edge. It will meet you where you are, and take you to the next level.  Some previous yoga experience recommended.

Restorative Yoga focuses on relaxing the body and mind.  It is a therapeutic style of yoga, which utilizes blankets, straps, and other props to make it easier for your body to get into poses, relax, find ease, and ultimately a sense of renewal. Tension and stress will be released, you will become more balanced, and feel nurtured as you heal from within. This class offers supported standing, seated, and reclining poses, focus on the breath to soothe your nervous system, release deeply held tension, and help your mind find stillness.  These soothing poses offer you the opportunity to linger quietly and savor the simple sweetness of life.  Suitable for all levels, beginners are most welcome.
